Welcome to Gofer - the Electronic Stage Manager.
Here is a very simple idea whose time is long overdue. Gofer was designed to take the headache out of stage management forms and documentation. With this program you will be able to input data and turn out many of the forms you will need to communicate to your cast and crew.
GOFER includes a whole suite of production management tools.
PEOPLE is the database of everyone who has ever auditioned for you. Since most of us use the same pool of actors and production staff show after show - why not keep their information in one electronic filing cabinet.
All of their information will follow them, from vocal range to shoe size. If you capture their information once, it will always be part of the database.
The Main GOFER file narrows the data to just the cast and crew for that show.
This file contains more of the essential forms for tracking the cast's information. From Emergency Contact Lists, to Production Contracts, to Costume Fittings, there are
more than 30 forms to help you organize the show information.
SCHEDULE is a file to help you develop the rehearsal calendar and production schedule. You will be able to identify up to four activities for any one rehearsal, indicate the location of that activity, and the times. SCHEDULE will convert that information into a calendar layout. There is also a suggested time line for key production deadlines or you can also use your own dates. SCHEDULE will then put those dates into the production calendar. There is
also a daily rehearsal log that can be e-mailed to the production team.
Finally, there are some very basic files for PROPS, SOUND, and LIGHTS. Each one of these files is designed to help with the flow of information and the organization of cues and show
paraphernalia.
